There's plenty of LED grow lights out there making claims that they replace a 1k watt HPS but it's all BS. THE Black dog 480w IS Different. There's a sphere test on their website. It's a true 1k replacement like they claim. Having seen it in person. Upon opening the box, i discovered the brightest LED grow light I've ever seen. The aluminum that the quantum boards are mounted to is rock solid and has machined grooves. The ballast piece is mounted to the top & overall, a super simplistic design.

After busting this baby outta the box I noticed that it included 4 ratchet hangers for hanging the light. I laid it upside down on my floor & plugged it in. Instantly fires up & IT's BLINDING!

I seriously have never considered wearing sunglasses in my gr, but seeing this I couldn't believe. I hung in a 4.5x4.5' tent. And after it's first couple hours, I was surprised how relatively cool temperature it is. The aluminum plate gets pretty warm but this is not like an HPS.

The electric pull measured 480 watts. It's as bright if not brighter than my 1k HPS. Harvesting soon, I will update and post pics.
